Setup AWS with best practices in mind to speed up development.
The CEO of Vocatales built an educational platform to change how vocabulary helps with learning. It was already running on AWS as an MVP, but since the site was getting more popular, it needed a proper upgrade from an infrastructure point of view.
The CEO asked me if I could help update the stack to follow AWS best practices and set it up for auto deployment and scaling.
Since this is what I do, I jumped right in. I created a new CloudFormation template that included CodePipeline and CodeBuild for automatic deployment. I also set up ECS to run the containers in an auto-scaling way.
I spent time helping the CEO understand AWS better, answering all his questions and mentoring him on best practices.
